Discovery Of Similar Cases' Claim Files Denied In Sex Abuse Coverage Dispute

TACOMA, Wash. - Citing "a long line of precedents," a Washington federal judge on July 2 held that discovery of purportedly similar cases was not warranted, granting a motion for protective order by an insurer in a dispute over coverage claims by sexual molestation victims (Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Co. v. Olympia Early Learning Center, et al., No. 3:12-cv-05759, W.D. Wash.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 93067).
