Amgen To Pay $15M To Settle Civil Kickback Claims Involving Cancer Drug

LOS ANGELES - Drug maker Amgen Inc. will pay more than $15 million to resolve federal civil allegations that it paid kickbacks to doctors to induce them to prescribe the cancer drug Xgeva, the U.S. attorney for the Central District of California said in a July 11 news release (United States of America, ex rel. William Davis, et al. v. Amgen, Inc., et al., No. 12-570, C.D. Calif.).
