Judge Denies Motion By Executives Of Failed Bank To Reconsider Ruling On Defenses

CHICAGO - A federal judge in Illinois on July 16 denied a failed bank's officers and directors' motion to reconsider her decision to strike their affirmative defenses in a suit in which the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. asserted gross negligence and other claims, saying that the motion "is a case of relitigating arguments that the Court previously rejected" (Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. v. Amrish Mahajan, et al., No. 11-7590, N.D. Ill.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 18344).
