FTC's Argument Against Debt-Negotiation Companies Misses Mark, 5th Circuit Says

NEW ORLEANS - The Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Aug 12 affirmed the dismissal of the Federal Trade Commission's allegations that debt-negotiation companies misrepresented how much they could reduce consumers' debt (Federal Trade Commission v. Financial Freedom Processing, et al., No. 12-10520, 5th Cir.; 2013 U.S. App. LEXIS 16766).
