Delaware Federal Judge: Sanctions Could Be Issued In Patent Case

WILMINGTON, Del. - A Delaware federal judge in an Aug. 15 ruling found a "basis" for considering sanctions under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11(b) based on a plaintiff's continued assertion of a patent despite conceding in previous litigation a "high unlikelihood of infringement" by the accused product (Technology Innovations LLC v. Amazon.com Inc., No. 11-690, D. Del.).
