Federal Judge Awards Claimant $132,526 In Beauticians Malpractice Liability Suit

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A New York federal judge on Aug. 16 ruled that an insurer has a duty to pay an underlying $132,526.50 default judgment entered against its nail salon insured arising from a client's alleged leg waxing injury (Samantha Lawrence v. Continental Casualty Co. Inc., No. 12-CV-412, E.D. N.Y.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 116144).
