2nd Circuit Finds Argentina Waived Immunity To Enforcement Action

NEW YORK - The Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Aug. 19 affirmed a federal judge's decision that the Republic of Argentina waived its sovereign immunity relation to an action filed by an investment company seeking to confirm an arbitration award issued by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) (Blue Ridge Investments L.L.C. v. Republic of Argentina, No. 12-4139, 2nd Cir.; 2013 U.S. App. LEXIS 17160).
