Ohio Appeals Panel Upholds Rulings For Defendants In Premises Liability Case

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 10th District Ohio Court of Appeals on Aug. 22 affirmed decisions dismissing claims against the defendants in a personal injury action involving the collapse of a carport, concluding that "the failure to secure a permit was not the proximate cause of the collapse of the carport" (Adam Wiles v. Richard J. Miller, et al., No. 12AP-989, Ohio App., 10th Dist.; 2013 Ohio App. LEXIS 3751).
