Judge Finds Quicken Loans Had Standing To Initiate Foreclosure

DETROIT - A federal judge in Michigan on Aug. 27 dismissed a woman's lawsuit challenging the foreclosure on her home after finding that Quicken Loans Inc. had standing to initiate the process and that it did not, under Michigan law, need to be the holder of the note at the time the proceedings began (Nancy Gardner v. Quicken Loans Inc., et al., No. 13-12720, E.D. Mich.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 121586).
