SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge in California on Aug. 29 granted in part and denied in part JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. (Chase) and Bank of America N.A.'s (BofA) motion to dismiss a suit arising from a mortgage acquired after the demise of Washington Mutual Bank F.A. (WaMu), finding, among other things, that a borrower failed to allege a foreclosure sale and a certain claim is time-barred (Reyna U. Zacharias v. JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A., et al., No. 12-6525, N.D. Calif.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 124704).
