Ameriquest MDL Judge Denies Third-Party Defendants' Motion To Dismiss

CHICAGO - The federal judge in Illinois presiding over the multidistrict litigation for claims stemming from Ameriquest Mortgage Co.'s alleged failure to provide borrowers with disclosures required by the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) on Sept. 3 denied a motion to dismiss brought by third-party defendants, after finding that "good reasons" existed for the court to retain supplemental jurisdiction over the suit (In re: Ameriquest Mortgage Co. Mortgage Lending Practices Litigation, MDL No. 1715, Case No. 05-7097, N.D. Ill.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 125296).
