Court Declines Jurisdiction In VA Exemption Case

CLEVELAND - Having accepted a similar case, the Ohio Supreme Court on Sept. 4 rejected jurisdiction in a case in which defendants argued that exempting those who sought treatment at veterans' hospitals set a "far reaching and careless precedent" undermining the intent of asbestos litigation reform, according to the court's docket (Victor J. Paul v. Consolidated Rail Corp., et al., No. 2013-0703, Ohio Sup.).
