Texas Appeals Panel Holds Houston Port Authority Immune To Property Damage Claims

HOUSTON - Two related lawsuits involving the same plaintiffs alleging claims against the Port Authority of Houston for property damage, personal injuries and inverse condemnation caused by operation of a container terminal on the Bayport Ship Channel were properly dismissed for lack of jurisdiction, a unanimous Texas Court of Appeals, First District, panel ruled Sept. 5 (Port Authority of Houston v Agnes A. Aaron, et al., No. 12-373, Texas App., 1st Dist.; Agnes A. Aaron et al. v. Port Authority of Houston, No. 12-640, Texas App., 1st Dist.).
