Louisiana Appeals Panel Overturns Judgment In Personal Injury Action

BATON ROUGE, La. - The First Circuit Louisiana Court of Appeal on Sept. 13 vacated a $510,354.63 default judgment entered against a plumbing contractor named as a defendant in a personal injury action, remanding the case for a new trial (Joann Schilling v. Bernhard Mechanical Contractors Inc., et al., No. 2012 CA 2105, La. App., 1st Cir.; 2013 La. App. LEXIS 1855).
