Bankruptcy Judge: Taxpayer's Detroit Eligibility Objections Were Untimely Filed

DETROIT - The bankruptcy judge presiding over the Chapter 9 proceeding of the City of Detroit on Sept. 17 issued 17 separate orders dismissing objections filed by individual taxpayers who argued that the city was not eligible to file for bankruptcy (In Re: City of Detroit., No. 13-53846, Chapter 9, E.D. Mich. Bkcy.).
