Judge Issues Order Calling Credit-Reporting Agency's Answer 'Troublesome'

CHICAGO - A federal judge in Illinois on Sept. 17 issued a memorandum order finding that credit-reporting agency Trans Union LLC has submitted a "troublesome" answer and affirmative defenses (ADs) in response to a consumer's Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) complaint and ordering the answer and ADs to be stricken from the record (Maria Flores v. Trans Union LLC, No. 13-6010, N.D. Ill.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 132864).
