Australian Justice Affirms Environmental Fines For Companies, Directors

SYDNEY, Australia - An Australian justice on Sept. 30 affirmed a lower court's decision to order two companies and their directors to pay $48,000 in damages for environmental violations, finding that the penalties were appropriate (Mouawad v The Hills Shire Council; Mouawad v The Hills Shire Council, No. $(2013$) NSWLEC 165, New South Wales Land and Env.).
