Judge Allows Insurer To Join 'Equitable Owner' To Tornado Coverage Dispute

ATLANTA - A Georgia federal judge on Oct. 2 granted an insurer's motion to join an "equitable owner" as a necessary party to a lawsuit seeking additional coverage for property damage caused by a tornado (Joasia Holotka v. The First Liberty Insurance Corp., No. 1:13-cv-0650-WSD, N.D. Ga.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 142353).
