Mississippi Top Court Adds Fine To Costs, Reprimand Of Judge In Asbestos Case

JACKSON, Miss. - The Mississippi Supreme Court on Oct. 3 imposed $200 in costs and a $500 fine and ordered a public reprimand for a judge's failure to disclose a potential conflict of interest in an asbestos case that produced a record $322 million verdict (Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance v. Eddie H. Bowen, No. 2013-JP-00776-SCT, Miss. Sup.).
