SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The insurance agent-broker dichotomy no longer exists for purposes of duty of care, an Illinois appeals panel held Oct. 7, reversing and remanding a trial court's ruling that an insurance agent's duty to procure did not exist because he was not acting as a broker (Steven A. Skaperdas, et al. v. Country Casualty Insurance Co. and Tom Lessaris, No. 4-12-0986, Ill. App., 4th Dist.; 2013 Ill. App. LEXIS 711).
