Reinsurer Asks Court To Vacate Arbitration Award

BOSTON - A reinsurer told a Massachusetts federal court on Oct. 15 that an arbitration award should be vacated because the arbitration panel exceeded its powers by essentially rewriting a number of arbitration agreements (First State Insurance Company, et al. v. National Casualty Company, No. 13-cv-12509, D. Mass.).
