U.S. Supreme Court Won't Rule That Drug Licensees Have To Make Drugs

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 15 declined to decide if a drug manufacturer that holds the sole license for a drug to treat vitamin A deficiency has a duty under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act to make the drug (Jennifer Lacognata, et al. v. Hospira, Inc., No. 13-305, U.S. Sup.).
