Federal Judge Rejects Limitations Arguments In Failed Bank Suit

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - A federal judge in Alabama on Oct. 18 denied motions to dismiss a suit Branch Banking & Trust Co. (BB&T) filed arising from a loan initially issued by Colonial Bank N.A. before its failure, disagreeing with the defendants' statute of limitations arguments and other assertions (Branch Banking & Trust Co. v. Daniel Todd McDonald, et al., No.13-0831, N.D. Ala.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 150073).
