Federal Judge Compels Arbitration Of Dispute Over Chilean Power Facility

NEW YORK - A New York federal judge on Oct. 31 granted a petition to compel arbitration of claims asserted in relation to the construction of a power generation facility in Chile, finding that under the parties' agreement, the dispute must be arbitrated (Alstom Chile S.A., et al. v. Mapfre Compania De Seguros Generales Chile S.A., No. 13-2416, S.D. N.Y.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 156294).
