Bayer Combination Aspirin Class Counsel Gets $5.1M; Objector Gets Only $18,000

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The New York federal judge overseeing the Bayer combination aspirin multidistrict litigation on Nov. 8 awarded $5.1 million in attorney fees and costs to class counsel but rebuffed a request by objector Ted Frank for a $500,000 fee, most of which Frank wanted deducted from class counsel's fee returned to the class or a charity (In Re: Bayer Corp. Combination Aspirin Products Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation, MDL Docket No. 2023, No. 1:09-md-2023, E.D. N.Y.).
