Federal Judge Dismisses Tortious Interference Claim Against Insurance Agents

OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma federal judge on Nov. 22 dismissed an insurance agency's claims for violation of the Oklahoma Deceptive Trade Practices Act (ODTPA), Oklahoma Statute Title 78, Section 54, tortious interference and unjust enrichment against insurance agents regarding a competing business started despite producer agreements (North American Insurance Agency Inc. d/b/a INSURICA, et al. v. Robert C. Bates, et al., No. 12-544, W.D. Okla.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 166107).
