NEW BERN, N.C. - Finding that a homeowners insurance provider conducted a reasonable and timely investigation of its insureds' home fire claim, a North Carolina federal judge on Nov. 19 disposed of a bad faith claim against the insurer, finding that the dispute was based on an "honest disagreement" (William Burch, et al. v. Lititz Mutual Insurance Co., No. 7:12-cv-00107, E.D. N.C.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 164497).
