Judge: Insurer's Policies Are Not Excess For Water Damage Caused By Faulty Windows

SEATTLE - An insurer's policies concerning coverage for water damage caused by defective windows are not excess to another insurer's policies except possibly for two that contain a broad form vendors endorsement, a Washington federal judge ruled Dec. 31, also finding that coverage may still be limited based upon exclusions (Colorado Casualty Insurance Co. v. Starline Windows Inc., et al., No. 12-2218, W.D. Wash.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 182158).
