Federal Judge Refuses To Compel Arbitration, Remands Purchase Dispute

NEW YORK - After determining that a Luxembourg company was not obligated to arbitrate a dispute in London pursuant to various agreements, a New York federal judge on Jan. 6 remanded the case to a state court for lack of jurisdiction (Norcast, S.AR.L. v. Castle Harlan Inc., No. 12-4973, S.D. N.Y.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 1197).
