Lawsuit Over Access To Pipeline Spill Properties Sent To Michigan State Court

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Claims that a property owner tortiously prevented a Canadian oil pipeline company from accessing land after an oil spill do not raise a federal question and belong in state court, a Michigan federal judge ruled Jan. 3 (Enbridge Energy Partners L.P. v. Fredonia Farms LLC, No. 1:13-CV-1289, W.D. Mich.).
