High Court Agrees To Hear Employee Speech Appeal

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Supreme Court on Jan. 17 agreed to decide whether the government may retaliate against a public employee for statements made in response to a subpoena rather than during the course of the employee's work (Edward R. Lane v. Steve Franks, No. 13-483, U.S. Sup.; 2014 U.S. LEXIS 649).
