English Court Upholds Widow's Claim For Future Dependency

LONDON - An England and Wales appeals court on Jan. 22 upheld an appeal filed by a woman who has mesothelioma of a decision that she could not claim damages for future dependency in relation to her husband's mesothelioma death that went beyond her own predicted life expectancy, awarding her 200,000 pounds (Monica Haxton v. Philips Electronics UK Limited, No. $(2014$) EWCA Civ 4, England and Wales App.).
