FDIC: Bank Executives' Loan Approvals Caused $35 Million In Losses

DENVER - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. on Jan. 17 sued former directors and officers of the failed United Western Bank (UWB) in a Colorado federal court, alleging that they negligently approved loans, leading to $35 million in bank losses (Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. v. Charles J. Berling, et al., No. 14-0137, D. Colo.).
