CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A federal judge overseeing the Ethicon pelvic mesh multidistrict litigation on Feb. 3 reversed his earlier ruling and said that a plaintiff is required to showed under Texas state law that there is a safer alternative design to the pelvic mesh device that was implanted in her (In Re: Ethicon Inc. Pelvic Repair Systems Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 2327, No. 2:12-md-2327, S.D. W.Va.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 12956).
