Mealey's Labor & Employment - Teachers Defend Their Performance In California Employment Laws Suit

LOS ANGELES - The judge presiding over the bench trial in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, filed by California students challenging the constitutionality of teacher employment laws, on March 17 heard from one of several teachers called to the stand by the state and intervenors - the California Teachers Association (CTA) and the California Federation of Teachers (CFT) - to defend their performance in the classroom after being accused of being poor teachers by some of the plaintiffs (Beatriz Vergara, et al. v. State of California, et al., No. BC484642, Calif. Super., Los Angeles Co.).
