Mealey's Bankruptcy - AMR: $5M Claim Of Pilot Who Receives Disability Payments Should Be Denied

NEW YORK - Bankrupt AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines Inc., on March 17 filed a brief in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York objecting to a $5 million claim filed by a former pilot who the airline contends has been receiving payments for the long-term disability that is the basis for his claim against the bankruptcy estate (In Re: AMR Corporation, No. 11-15463, Chapter 11, S.D. N.Y. Bkcy.).
