Mealey's IP/Tech - Federal Circuit Affirms $12 Million Attorney Fee Award In Patent Case

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Citing the objectively baseless nature of a plaintiff's patent infringement lawsuit, even upon de novo review, the Federal Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on March 18 affirmed a California federal judge's award of $12 million in attorney fees (Gabriel Technologies Corporations et al. v. Qualcomm Inc. et al., No. 13-1205, Fed. Cir.).
