Mealey's Insurance - Disputed Fact Issues Allow Bad Faith Claim To Survive Summary Judgment, Judge Says

RENO, Nev. - In a dispute over underinsured motorist (UIM) benefits for a car accident, a Nevada federal judge on March 24 ruled that existing disputes of material fact led him to mostly deny an insurer's motions for summary judgment for bad faith and state law claims against it (Judith T. Skach v. AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Insurance Exchange, No. 3:12-cv-00464, Court; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 38431).
