WASHINGTON, D.C. - The appeal petition filed in January by objectors to the January 2013 settlement in the Nitro, W.Va., dioxin contamination class action was distributed to justices of the U.S. Supreme Court for the April 4 conference to consider the objectors' appeal of the $30 million settlement they argue violates the due process rights of absent class members (Virdie Allen, et al. v. Monsanto Co., et al., No. 13-887, U.S. Sup.).
