NEW ORLEANS - A Texas university employee who was laid off twice and sued after she wasn't rehired following the second layoff failed to show that she was subjected to national origin discrimination, the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled April 3 (Maria Alma Villarreal v. The Texas A&M System, No. 13-20215, 5th Cir.; 2014 U.S. App. LEXIS 6184).
