Mealey's Insurance - New York Federal Judge Dismisses Homeowners' Complaint As 'Vague'

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - A Valley Stream, N.Y., couple's "broad, vague and generalized allegations" against their homeowners insurance provider are insufficient to support any of their claims, a New York federal judge found April 17, leading him to grant the insurer's motion for partial dismissal and sua sponte dismiss the remaining claims (Harold Kalter, et al. v. Hartford Insurance Company of the Midwest, No. 2:14-cv-01115, E.D. N.Y.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 53674).
