Mealey's Insurance - Federal Judge Stays Insurer's Lawsuit Over Insured's Construction Defects Claims

PHILADELPHIA - A Pennsylvania federal judge on April 17 stayed an insurer's coverage action regarding two underlying construction defects lawsuits pending the resolution of parallel declaratory judgment lawsuits filed in state court regarding the same construction defects claims and parties (Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. v. A-1 Bracket Inc., et al., No. 13-3282, General Star Indemnity Co., et al. v. A-1 Bracket Inc., No. 13-3665, E.D. Pa.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 53986).
