LAKE CHARLES, La. - The Third Circuit Louisiana Court of Appeal on April 23 affirmed a $124,089.48 medical malpractice award in a case involving a woman who suffered a bed sore while hospitalized, concluding that the trial court judge did not abuse his discretion in his determination of damages for pain and suffering and mental anguish (Sandra Hunter, et al. v. Christus Health Central Louisiana, et al., No. 13-1057, La. App., 3rd Cir.; 2014 La. App. LEXIS 1098).
