Mealey's Bankruptcy - Judge Denies Liens Against CEO Of Bankrupt Peregrine Financial Group

CHICAGO - The federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on May 2 ruled that a creditor's mechanic's liens against bankrupt Peregrine CEO Russell Wasendorf were denied on grounds that they were not perfected at the time Peregrine was placed into receivership (U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission v. Peregrine Financial Group Inc., et al., No. 12-05383, N.D. Ill.).
