ST. LOUIS - Two experts' opinions that maternal forces cannot cause permanent brachial plexus injuries and that they always are the result of traction applied to the infant's head do not fit the facts of the medical malpractice case and were properly excluded, an Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel held June 4 (Dawn Lawrey v. Good Samaritan Hospital, et al., No. 12-3863, 8th Cir.; 2014 U.S. App. LEXIS 10354).
