ALBANY, N.Y. - The oral arguments at the New York Court of Appeals in a case between an oil and gas exploration company and the Town of Dryden, N.Y., regarding the company's right to drill followed very closely with the briefing filed in the case, a source told Mealey's Fracking Report on June 6. The company contended at oral argument on June 3 that the law is "clear" that the town is prohibited from banning hydraulic fracturing (Norse Energy Corp. USA v. Town of Dryden, et al., No. APL-2013-00245, N.Y. App.).
