LAFAYETTE, La. - A Louisiana federal judge on June 6 granted a seaman's motion to remand his negligence claims to a state court, finding that the only defendant that provided a basis for removal under the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards was voluntarily dismissed (Randy K. Maturin v. Commerce & Industry Co., et al., No. 614-CV-00603, W.D. La.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 77704).
