Mealey's IP/Tech - Magistrate Says Insurer Has Duty To Defend Insureds Against Cyberbullying Claims

PORTLAND, Ore. - A homeowners insurer has a duty to defend its insureds against underlying claims stemming from alleged cyberbullying and sexting among a group of high school students, an Oregon federal magistrate judge determined July 1, recommending that the insurer's motion for summary judgment be denied (Allstate Indemnity Co. v. Kelli Puzey, et al., No. 13-01520, D. Ore.).
