Mealey's Insurance - Judge: GEICO Did Not Act In Bad Faith Under Terms Of Auto Insurance Policy

TAMPA, Fla. - A federal judge in Florida on June 30 ruled that an insurer did not act in bad faith by failing to provide an insured with information regarding a settlement demand letter because the insurer's attempts to settle the claim were in good faith (Joshua Moore v. GEICO General Insurance Co., No. 13-1569, M.D. Fla.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 88719).
