Mealey's Toxic Tort/Environmental - Divided Commonwealth Court Of Pennsylvania Says Fees On Gas Wells Constitutional

HARRISBURG, Pa. - A divided Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania on July 17 ruled that fees charged on unconventional gas wells such as those used in hydraulic fracturing are constitutional (Brian Coppola, as supervisor for Robinson Township, Washington County, Pa., et al. v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, et al., No. 284 M.D. 2012, Pa. Cmwlth.).
